
In het uiterste Noord-Oosten van Nederland, vlakbij de ‘punt van Reide’ hebben de Duitsers tijdens de tweede wereldoorlog ‘batterij Fiemel’ gebouwd. Het kleinschalige bunkercomplex was onderdeel van de zogenaamde ‘Atlantikwall’, de verdedigingslinie van de Duitsers langs de atlantische kust.
In the far north-east of the Netherlands the Germans build ‘Batterij Fiemel’ as a part of the ‘Atlantik Wall’, which was the coastal defence structure of the Nazi’s in World War II. About 50 soldiers lived here to operate the canon on the top of the bunker.

Batterij Fiemel was a defense-structure build by the germans in world war II. It was part of the 'atlantik-wall' witch streched from the Polar shore in the north of Norway all the way down to spain.
